Betty Beeler, 93, died May 14, 2018 at Red Bud Assisted Living in Perkins. The funeral service will be held 10:30am on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Lost Creek United Methodist Church located between Stillwater and Perkins. Paul Anderson and Lee Miller will officiate. Interment will follow in the Perkins Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The pallbearers will we be her grandsons, Kenny Redus, Branddon Jarvis, Adam Jarvis, Mark Jarvis, Joe Jarvis and Kyle Mason.
Betty Lorene Ham was born in Stillwater on August 11, 1924, the daughter of William A. Ham and Blanche Leigh Ham. She was raised in the Lost Creek community. She married Marion Loren Jarvis on August 5, 1944 at Lost Creek Church. The marriage ended upon the death of Marion on August 27, 1967. She married John Henry Beeler on October 6, 1973. They moved to Stillwater in 1993. John passed on July 15, 1996.
Betty graduated from Perkins High School in 1943. Later she attended cosmetology school and operated a beauty shop out of her Perkins home for many years. Betty was a member of the Perkins First United Methodist Church and later Sunnybrook Christian Church. At Sunnybrook, she was active in the Prime Timers Sunday School class. Betty was a member of the Perkins Round Up Club, American Legion and Perkins Senior Citizens.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; a daughter, Lorene Little and four brothers.
Survivors include Randy and Katrina Jarvis of Perkins; Rick and Janet Jarvis of Perkins; Sherian and Benje Mason of Moore; Gary Beeler of Port Charlotte, Florida; sister Janie Laudenback of Newport, Oregon; eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
The family encourages memorials be given to Sunnybrook Christian Church Building Fund.
