Dan attended Holy Angels Grade School. He was a 1982 graduate of Aurora Central High School. Always an avid reader, Dan continued his education at Northern Illinois University graduating in 1986 with a B.S.in Political Science. Recently, Dan had been speaking about his mission to lessen the exorbitant costs of college text books for students at colleges and universities.
Not only was Dan an avid reader, he also wrote and drew illustrations for books he hoped would be published someday. In the past few years, Dan took up long distance biking and enjoyed taking his bike on his travels and discovering the countryside. One last passion of Dan's was cooking and he treated his family to a huge pot of gumbo each year at Christmas when he visited. Dan was also the epitome of a "die-hard Cub fan" and was ecstatic to watch the Cubs win the World Series this year.
