Doris Louise (Kent) Mitchell, 82, of Morrison passed away from this life on Friday, May 26, 2017 in Oklahoma City to be with her loved ones who had gone on before her. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 31 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting guests from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hilltop Church in Morrison. Interment will follow at Morrison Cemetery. Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater is in charge of arrangements.

Doris was born on November 2, 1934 to Jacob & Vera (Mason) Kent in Morrison, Oklahoma. Doris married Curtis Arnold Mitchell her high school sweetheart on February 3, 1953 in Morrison. They had three beautiful children, Allen, Doug, and Sherri. They shared 40 years of marriage before Curtis's passing.

Doris loved to talk and visit about how proud she was of her family. Doris had eight grandchildren in which she adored, they are: Shawn, Jacob & Shana Walls, Stacy, Austin, Chad and Tisha Mitchell and Serra Vaughn.

Doris had a home daycare for 40 years in which she kept a lot of Morrison kids whom she loved as her very own. When it came to Thanksgiving time grandma's cornbread dressing was always the main thing on the menu. Doris loved bingo. She loved to go to bingo with Nellie to visit friends and holler Bingo!

She is survived by her two sons Curtis Allen Mitchell and Douglas Kent Mitchell of Morrison, daughter Sherri Renee Walls of Morrison. Eight grandchildren: Stacy Mitchell, Chad Mitchell, Serra (Mitchell) Vaughn and husband Brandon, Austin Mitchell, Tisha Mitchell, Shawn Walls, Jacob Walls, Shana Walls and ten great grandchildren.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Curtis, her parents Jacob Kent & Vera Rogers, two sisters JoAnne Greenfield and Juanita Krout.

She will be greatly missed by all!
