Elizabeth Leigh Bramwell

February 19, 1961 - May 18, 2018

On May 18, 2018 Elizabeth Leigh (Betsy) Bramwell died unexpectedly at her home in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
She is survived by her father, Ernest (Bud) Bramwell, her daughter Ashleigh Bramwell, and fiancé Bradley Dixon, son Adam Brooner, sister Elesa Jacobson and husband Hank and Elesas son, Garrett Murphy and daughter Lucianne Murphy-Hail, Aunt and Uncle Rhenda and Clarence Brodnax, Aunt Ouida Lewis, and many cousins. She will be sadly missed by her many dear friends, especially Jim Slavins and James Sears. She is predeceased by her mother Barbara Knapp Bramwell and nephew Patrick Murphy.
Betsy was a well-known horsewoman both locally and nationally. She won many awards in the American Quarter Horse Association and had the honor of being one of the youngest competitors to win a national title in her favorite event of reining. She was currently training horses for several clients and working at the Joe Simon Ranch in Perkins, Oklahoma. She was equally talented as a mechanic and was often seen driving in her 1972 Oldsmobile cutlass convertible. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 202 E. McElroy Rd, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Troy Withey, Pastor, will officiate.
