Gene--I was your junior year English teacher. I adored your dad and mom. Your dad was so good to me when I was a tiny little school teacher. I taught for 26 years, and your dad was one of the best administrators ever, ever. He will enter heaven on a team of white horses. Please feel free to contact me. I would love to hear from you. My husband and I live in Tucson, AZ. Yes, it is paradise. No ice and snow!!!! Give your mom a hug for me. She is a princess. Susan 520-275-8313 susanross10@sbcglobal.net

When I was not doing what was needed for me in school. Mr. Mastin would give me the tasks of making announcements and he would walk the halls making sure every student where in their class. And the most common place that he would make sure to check out was the outside bathrooms. Those where the good old days. My personal probation officer your going to be missed love, August of 1970 until he moved.

The strangest thing happened the other day...... Here's a little back story....I went to Stillwater high when it was CE Donart. I graduated in 1982. Mr. Masten was the nicest man and very fair! One summer my senior year my car broke down and I had no idea that when I knocked on the door that he lived there. It was scary to knock on a stranger's door at probably 9:30 or 10 pm at night (no cell phones back then!). I was so relieved to see his face as the door opened! He let me use his phone to call my dad and helped me with my car. I'll never forget that! A couple of days ago I was in that neighborhood and as I drove past his house, I wondered if he still lived there and how he was doing. T...onight I open up news press and seen his picture here. I'm saddened to see but I know he was an amazing person and it looks like he had a happy full life! When I look back in my highschool years, he is on my list of favorite people that made a difference ❤️ sending prayers up for his family.Read more
