Grace Stevens is THE definition of a beautiful, Christian woman. I attended Meridian Votech cosmetology years ago and was privileged to do her hair, we had a blast and I have such wonderful memories of her! I’ll never forget the encouragement she gave me and the love she showed me. She loved Jesus so much and it showed in everything she did. I still have a prayer she typed out and gave me when I completed beauty school. We kept in touch for years after with Christmas cards. I rejoice that she’s with The Lord and her loved ones that have gone on before. That’s the hope we have in Christ! I love you Grace Stevens! I’ll never forget your kind, sweet spirit. I hope to be half the ...woman you were. Amen.Read more

I often think of my wonderful 3rd grade teacher. She was definitely one of the best teachers! I would like to share a memory that I hope brings a smile to the face of those who read it & maybe even a laugh... We played BINGO on Fridays (if my memory is correct). Our prize for being the lucky one to bingo was a piece of candy (root beer barrels were my favorite). It never failed, I was always the last to bingo. I was so unlucky, that Mrs. Stevens had to stand behind me MANY times & peek at my bingo card to see what numbers were on it just so I would get at least one piece of candy. Often, someone would still bingo before me! It was actually kind of comical. The look on her face when someone e...lse got a bingo before me is one I will never forget & makes me giggle... One of my greatest life lessons were learned in that classroom. Don't gamble, Kim! My most sincere condolences to the family. May God bring you peace & comfort. She will be remembered fondly in the hearts of many.Read more

Mrs. Grace Stevens was my third grade teacher at Warner, OK in 1961-62. I shall never forget how in her class we carried our books & papers to the new, empty, elementary building on that windy Wednesday before Thanksgiving. “Magically” (to a child), when we returned to our new classroom on Monday, it was filled with new desks, chairs, & ALL OF THE THINGS that teachers use in educating children! She was awesome! Little did I know that I would become an elementary teacher too! She was a great Lady and an inspiration! We were blessed by Mrs. Grace Stevens’ service to her students, community, & church. ✝️
