Heinz Hall died peacefully at his home on December 23, 2016 at the age of 90 surrounded by family and friends. He was born to Albert and Marie Hall on June 26, 1926 in Schwenningen (now Villingen-Schwenningen), Germany. On October 22, 1949 he married Marliese Spitz and three years later immigrated to the United States, settling in Oklahoma City, where he was employed by the Folding Carrier Corporation. In 1958 he moved to Stillwater to take a position as Instrument Shop Manager in the Physics Department at Oklahoma State University where he remained until his retirement in 1988. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Mark, and cousin Lori Sheltman. He is survived by his wife Marliese, son Michael and wife Annette of Shreveport, Louisiana, granddaughter Stephanie Hall of Dallas, Texas, and cousin Gretel and husband John Highly of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by his nephew Hardy Pfeiffer of Villingen- Schwenningen, Germany and niece Ursula Nann of Bad-Dürrheim, Germany.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Jim and Carol Wicksted, and Jean d'Offay and Dee Dutt for all of their help and support during this difficult time and, above all, for their friendship. The family would also like to thank all of the caregivers for the comfort and care that they provided.
A private service with family and close friends will be held at Strode Funeral Home with Pastor Rusty Rhodes officiating. Interment at Marena Cemetery will follow the service and will be under the direction of Strode Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tiny Paws Kitten Rescue, 901 S.
