James F. Jackson James Forbes Stuart Jackson, Jr, 86, Passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018 in Stillwater, OK. A Rosary and Funeral Mass will both be held at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 711 N. Country Club Road, Stillwater, OK. 74075. The Rosary will be at 7:00pm on Monday, December 10, 2018. Mass will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 with Interment following in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Stillwater, OK. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

James Forbes Stuart Jackson Jr. was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 29th, 1932 and was baptized at Saint Peter Prince of The Apostles Catholic Church. He was the first son of James Forbes Stuart and Virginia Ann (Fisher) Jackson. He attended Martin High School in Laredo, Texas. After graduation, James attended the University of Texas, Austin from 1951-1955. He was in the Army ROTC program and graduated as a 2nd Lieutenant. James was called to active service from 1955-1957 and was assigned to the U.S. Army Transportation Corps, Trans-Arctic Command, in Greenland from 1956-1957. Once he finished active service, he returned to the University of Texas, Austin to pursue his PhD in Finance and graduated in 1965.

James married Jeralyn E. Jackson in 1960 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. James and Jerry moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1964 where he joined the faculty at Oklahoma State University, College of Business, as a Finance professor. He taught both undergraduate and graduate students before retiring in 1998. James passed away on November 30th, 2018 in Stillwater, OK.

James is survived by his wife, Jerry Jackson (Stillwater, OK); two sons, James Stuart Jackson (Houston, TX) and Edward Marsh Jackson (Long Beach, CA); four grandchildren, Emily Anne Jackson (Corvallis, OR), Maria Elizabeth Jackson (Long Beach, CA), Rebecca Ann Jackson (Houston, TX), and James Stuart Jackson, Jr. (Houston, TX); three siblings, William D. Jackson (Bourne, TX), Virginia A. Kastel (Santa Fe, NM) and Marsha F. Jackson (Santa Fe, NM).

James was preceded in death by his daughter, Anne Elizabeth Jackson and sister, Mary Isabel Wymer.
