Kima Yarbrough Brisbin, age 57, was called home to be with her Lord Jesus on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, in a Georgia Hospice Center surrounded by her family. Family will greet friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mabry Rose Cemetery in Stroud.
Kima was born August 22, 1959, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She lived the majority of her life in Oklahoma, becoming a resident of Stillwater in 1993, where she worked in Property Management. In 2011 she returned to school and became a nurse. She worked as a nurse at Grace Living Center in Stillwater up until she retired in 2015 and at that time she was able to travel and spend more time with her kids and grandkids in Florida and Arkansas. Kima loved to ride her bike and even rode it across the state of Oklahoma multiple times on the Freewheel. Kima loved sewing and quilting and was a member of the Cimarron Valley Quilters Guild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Judy Yarbrough and her husband of 18 years, Edward "Ozzie" Brisbin.
She leaves behind her children and grandchildren, one daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Jimmy Hewitt, of Fouke, Arkansas; one son, Randolph Brauer of Apollo Beach, Florida; one granddaughter, Kyleen Hewitt; two grandsons, Colton Hewitt and Vincent Brauer; five siblings, sisters Jana Narboe and Pama Yarbrough, brother and sister-in-law, Jon and Bonnie Yarbrough, brother and sister-in-law, Don and Debbie Yarbrough, all of Oklahoma, and brother, Scott Yarbrough of Arkansas.
