LaDanta  Frazier


LaDanta Jane (Teal) Frazier, 96 passed away peacefully at her home on December 21, 2018 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, OK. with pastor Brent Prentice of Eagle Heights Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery.
LaDanta (aka Aunt Dannie) was born in Durant Oklahoma to John Edward and Ella Jane Teal on October 21, 1922. She graduated from Okmulgee High School. She was a secretary for General motors until her retirement. She loved children and was able to spend several years serving as den mother for the Boy Scouts. She enjoyed painting, reading, music, sewing, volunteering at Project heart, and spending time with family and friends.
LaDanta took the hand of Gifford Guy Smith on July 26, 1941 and upon retirement they moved to a farm in Stillwater to be closer to her family and to help raise her niece. They were married 50 years until his passing in 1992.
She married Edgar Evans Foudray on May 15, 1994 and they enjoyed 1 year together in Indianapolis, Indiana until his passing in 1995.
Years later LaDanta Frazier was blessed to find love again with William Donald Frazier and they were married December 21, 2007 when they both were in their 80's. They were happily married for 9 years until his passing on Christmas day in 2016.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Lucy Annette Tate.
She is survived by, two nieces, Carolyn Annette Magnus (Jeremy) of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Beverly Ann Taylor (David) of Edmond, Oklahoma; great niece, Robyn Elizabeth Dethloff, great nephew, Joseph Andrew Magnus, and her special friend/caregiver Terry Sampson Renfro.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Physician's Choice Hospice and all their amazing staff for their support in her final days.
