Naomi Jesse Hesser died of natural causes peacefully in her sleep on June 23, 2018 at her residence at Sunrise Assisted Living in Fairfax Virginia. She was 96. She was buried next to the love of her life, Dr Dale Cahill Hesser at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, VA on June 27, 2018. They were married 63 years and will now spend eternity together.
Naomi Hesser was born in Glencoe Oklahoma on February 16, 1922. She graduated from Abilene Christian College with a masters in business and later went on to teach there. Naomi taught English and Business at Wall High School in Wall Texas from 1967 to 1991. She enjoyed helping out her students with writing and journalism contests in Texas and also enjoyed acting in various San Angelo plays. She moved to Fairfax, Virginia with her husband, Dr Dale Hesser, in 1999.
Naomi Hesser is survived by her two daughters Fawn Horr and Tabra Tunoa (formerly Sandra Hesser). She is also survived by three grandchildren, Tangi Tunoa, Bryan Horr, Taryn Polera, one great- grandson Tangi Tunoa, Jr, one great great grandson Tyson Tunoa, and one sister Vera Draper.
Naomi's family love and miss her very much. She was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. Her vision, influence and love for her family will never be forgotten. She will remain in our hearts forever.
