Pauline Imogene Smith, age 89, went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2017. A graveside service will be held 2:00 Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Stillwater, OK. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Pauline was born in Pawnee, OK, on November 12, 1927, to the late Joseph and Kati Kolb.
Pauline worked as a Nurses Aide at Stillwater Medical, Wesley Medical in Wichita, KS, Northridge General in CA, and St. Pauls in Dallas, TX. She also worked as a private caregiver for five years before her retirement in 1985. Pauline belonged to The Calvary Assembly of God in Stillwater and to The Living Water Assembly of God in Bella Vista, AR. She belonged to the Elm Grove HCE for around 35 years and the last 20 years held perfect attendance. She belonged to the Tops OK13 for many years. Pauline enjoyed her many friends in both clubs and would tell stories of their many escapades.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 1/2 years, Clarence Eugene Smith; her parents; and her two brothers, Joseph Kolb Jr. and Gerald Lee Kolb.
Pauline is survived by one son, Fred Eugene Smith and wife, Cynthia, of Mabank, TX; one daughter, Pat Smith Hall of the home; one granddaughter, Kelly Ann Smith Loden; one grandson, James Shannon Hall and wife, Christina of Jenks, Ok; two great-grandsons, Logan Roy Hall, Colin Blake Hall; two sisters-in-law Alana Harting of Stillwater, OK, Marie Decker of Millbrook, AL; one beloved brother-in-law, Charles David Smith of Tulsa, OK. She will be missed by numerous nieces and nephews.
