Stanley Eugene Bridenstine, 75, of Jurupa Valley, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2017. His funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the Friends Chapel, in Coyle, OK. Following the service he will be laid to rest at Oak Grove, the family cemetery in Perkins, OK. A celebration of his life will be held in Riverside at a later date. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Stan was born September 8, 1942 in Winfield, Kansas, to Reverend Val and Carolyn Bridenstine and lived in Jurupa Valley since 1970.
After graduating from Friends Academy in Haviland, KS in 1960, Stan relocated to Azusa, CA to pursue studies at Azusa College, where he met Pat. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1966. In 1967 Stanley and Pat were married in Chanute, IL. He served 23 years in the Air Force, retiring in 1989 to pursue teaching.
Stan enjoyed reading about current events, watching sports, and spending time with loved ones.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Jane; his son, Timothy (Brenda) of Sugar Hill, GA; his daughter, Deborah (Hope) of Orcutt, CA; three grandsons, Batuhan, Joshua, and Gabriel of Sugar Hill, GA; four step grandchildren, Priscilla, Ben, Ciarra, and Cayden, of Orcutt, CA; his brother Lester (Elaine); nieces; nephews; many extended family and beloved friends.
