Arlis Leon Riley, 80, passed from this life on June 6, 2017 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Funeral service will be 2:30 Friday, June 9, 2017 at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Perkins, OK. Dr. Thomas Hunter and Brother Mike Cannon will officiate. Interment will follow at the Perkins Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Arlis was born to John Albert and Velma Riley on November 4, 1936 in Perkins, OK. He took the hand of Linda J. Riley in marriage on May 18, 1963.
Arlis attended and graduated from Perkins school. After that he was a cook and owned Riley's Steak House for 40 years. He was part of the Perkins Voluntary fire department 20 years, part of the Civil Service Director for 10 years and belonged to the Lions Club.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father: two sisters, Katherine Westfall and Karoline Dunn; three brother in laws, Benjamin Westfall, James Dunn, Gale Sult ; one nephew, and Jerry Sult.
He is survived by his wife; one sister in law, Lola Jean Sult; one son John Riley (wife) Linda K; seven grandchildren, Tyler M. Riley, Linda Riley, Garrett L. Riley, Noah J. Riley, Adam S. Riley, Chris Hazelwood, Brenton King; eight great grandchildren; one niece, Sandra Heard (Larry) of Broken Arrow, Ok; three nephews, Sam (Anita) Westfall of Chelsea, OK, Stan (Linda) Westfall of Sperry, OK., Stephen (Gigi) Westfall of Foyil, OK.
