Carol's Story

Carol A. Vogt a resident long time resident of Yale, Oklahoma passed away on August 2, 2016, with her family by her side.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Yale, Oklahoma. Service will be held on Monday August 8th at 11 a.m. at the Calvary Assembly of God Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Reverend Rusty Rhodes will officiate. Interment will follow at the Lawson Cemetery in Yale, Oklahoma.

Carol was born on July 17, 1938 to Edward and Christine (Pibbs) Haydock, Carol was born in Quay, Oklahoma. She attended and graduated from Cushing high school in 1957. Carol married (William) Billy Derr in 1959 and to this union two children were born, Martin, and Lagwenda.
Billy passed away on February 13, 1963, and Carol met and married Henry Vogt on December 27, 1965, and remarried married until Henry's passing on November 10, 2011.

Carol enjoyed crocheting, making Quilts, and spending time with her granddaughters junk shopping. Carol was a collector of coffee cups and had a large collection. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Carol is survived by her two sons: Martin Derr, and Dewayne Derr, one daughter: Lagwenda Ross, and adopted son Chris Vogt, three brothers: Wayne Haydock and wife Wilma, Martin Haydock and wife Sharrie, and Boyd Haydock, six grandchildren: William Fletcher, Kevin Ross, Billy Derr and wife Georgiana, Kara Moren and husband Dustin, Tessica Matheny, and Chynthia Faye Kelly, nine great grandchildren: Addison, Gary Martin, and Gabriel Derr, Cody and Elle May Matheny, Gabriel, Joseph, Apollonia, and Dakota Kelly, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands: Billy Derr, and Henry Vogt, one brother: Loyd Earl Haydock.
