Dale A. Krout left this world to join his Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 25, 2016. Dale was born December 12, 1941 in Woodward, Oklahoma.
In 1949, he moved to Glencoe where he grew up playing baseball and basketball, along with boxing for the Glencoe Panthers. After graduating high school in May of 1960, Dale wed his beloved wife, Carol M. Jones, on December 31, 1960 in Maramec.
After a few years of traveling Dale resided in Ponca City where he raised his family of three children. In his pastime, Dale enjoyed hot rodding and motorcycling, noodling and spending time with his family. Dale was also in a partnership with HeviQuip, opening in 1981. Dale retired from HeviQuip at the age of 55. After retiring, Dale purchased "The Farm" in 1995 nine miles from his home which he grew up in. "The Farm" later became the place of gathering for Dale to enjoy his family.
If you couldn't find Dale at his home you could be sure and find him on the tractor tending to his cattle, at the Krout family campsite enjoying the fishing and campfire cooking, tinkering with a project in his barn, following the Glencoe Panthers basketball teams around the state, or sitting back and enjoying watching his family grow. His most favorite times were times when the entire family was out at the farm enjoying a meal together.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Alice Krout; sister, Lois Richardson; sister-in-law, Juanita Krout; and numerous other close relatives and friends.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Carol Krout of the home; along with his greatest blessings in his life, his three children; son, Bobby Krout and wife, Marjorie of Ponca City; daughter, Tonya Morton, of the home in Glencoe; son, Andrew Krout and wife, Cinda of Stillwater; his pride and joy and most favorite pastime, his five grandchildren, Whitney, Brittney, and Josh of Ponca City; Shelby and Tristene of Ponca City; Coleman and Cannon of Stillwater; four great grandchildren, Trevor, Daniel, Rylee, and Ayden of Ponca City.
Dale's first name has become a Krout family tradition, every preceding male member of his family carries the name "Dale" as their middle name.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Glencoe Athletic Fund or the Glencoe Civic Center.
