Donald Perceful, 92, joined the Church triumphant Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Eden Chapel in Stillwater. Interment will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Donald was born in Benton County, AR. on November 17, 1924 to Clarence Lee & Myrtle (Wooten) Perceful. He was a member of Eden Chapel United Methodist Church.
Don was a hard-working entrepreneur. He worked in the CC Camp, and served in the Navy during WWII, and later in the Air Force. Don retired from the FAA in 1969 and embarked on another career as a shrimper in Texas. He retired with his wife of 51 years, Joan, to their farm outside Tryon, OK. Don was a committed Christian, electronics technician, pilot, teacher, fisherman, farmer, a good father and friend.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Lucille Jamison, and great-grandson Easton Perceful.
He is survived by his wife, Joan; one sister, Stella McGinnis of Torrance, CA; one daughter, Brenda (& Rick) Peters of Newcastle; one son, Ron (& Wendee) Perceful of Midwest City; grandchildren, Terri Scott, Toni Ashley, Rick Peters, Stephanie Peters, Joshua Perceful, Chad Perceful, Jennifer Weedn and SSGT Gary Mabry IV; 18 great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
In his memory, Donald would want you to read I Corinthians 15:1-8.
