Edward Wayne Williamson, former Payne County and Lincoln County resident, now of Kingston, Oklahoma, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 11, 2016 in the Alliance Health Center in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years.
The son of the late William E. Williamson and Ruby Watkins Williamson, Ed was born on June 11, 1941 in Stillwater, Oklahoma and was raised and educated in several different cities, graduating from Buffalo High School.
Ed received a Master's Degree in Chemistry, working for several years as a chemist. He was also a small business owner and was involved in law enforcement with the Lincoln County, Sac & Fox and Agra departments.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and enjoyed fishing, guns, and drinking his coffee and Pepsi.
Survivors include his two children, Burke Williamson of Stillwater and Misty Knowles of New Zealand; two sisters, Melba Bowen Williamson and Pam McElroy Havenhill; four grandchildren, Madeleine Knowles, Aidan Knowles, Elias Williamson and Edie Williamson; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Norma White Owens.
A memorial service will be held Monday, October 17, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home.
