John Scott Johnson, 49, of Roanoke, TX, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 6, 2017. His memorial service will be held at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Roanoke, TX, with Pastor Robert Bulduc, on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Lucas Funeral Home of Keller, TX is in charge of the arrangements.
Scott was born in Wooster, Ohio, on February 25, 1968, son of Ronald and Sally (Shamel) Johnson. Due to his father working for universities he also lived in Maryville, TN and Stillwater, OK thru his childhood. He was a graduate of Stillwater High School in 1986. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1990 with a degree in Finance. He then moved to Texas where he resided until his passing.
Scott worked at various financial firms throughout the years, loved working with numbers. He loved his kids more than anything in the world. He also loved jet ski racing, race cars, and rock (heavy metal) music. He was a devout Christian and was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Roanoke, TX.
Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Sally Johnson, sisters Denetia Johnson and Jennifer Johnson, Uncles John Shamel, Dale Johnson, and Kermit Johnson and nephew Aaron Budewig.
He is survived by his son, Brendan Johnson of Irving, TX, 2 daughters, Hailey Johnson of Irving, TX and Amber Cain and husband Kyle of Stillwater, OK, sister Melissa Pals and husband Ron of Stillwater, OK, 2 nieces, Kara Gagnon and husband Stephen of Colorado Springs, CO and Ashton Kurtz and husband Jason of San Angelo, TX, nephew Austin Budewig of San Angelo, TX, grandson Kayson Cain of Stillwater, OK, along with great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
