Larry Joe Dehls, 69, died at his home in Stillwater, Oklahoma on October 11, 2016. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Church in Stillwater, Ok. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Church with Father Kenneth Harder officiating. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Larry was born to Harry and Melba Dehls in Batesville, Arkansas on January 28, 1947. Larry was married to Donna Drumright; he took her hand in marriage on October 28, 1967 at Bennett Chapel in Stillwater, and lived out their days together.
He attended Jefferson, Eugene Field, South High, and Stillwater High School. After high school he joined the United States Navy and became an Electricians Mate, he served his country from 1967-1971. He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Band called the Coachmen they played at school dances, Crystal Plunge, and Yost Lake. He loved metal detecting and going to steam engine shows, Fantasy Football, Sci-Fi, Minecraft and his faith. He was a Softball coach for many years.
He is preceded in death by his mother; and father.
He is survived by one daughter Chandra Raine and husband Steve; two grandchildren, Allie Raine and Molly Raine; one sister, Shirilyn Dehls; brother in law, James Drumright and wife Janet; niece, Ashley Drumright ; nephew, Jacob Drumright.
