Martin Leroy Bullock, 73, passed from this life on July 4, 2016 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. His memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Strode Funeral Home Chapel. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He was born on September 14, 1942 to Joe and Grace (Wilson) Bullock in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was married to Marian Hunt in 1967 in Nevada, now deceased. On May 10, 1986 he married the love of his life, Gay Lynn Bullock. They were united in marriage for 30 years.
He graduated from Tulsa Will Rogers High School. After high school, Mr. Bullock served his country for 22 years and went on to retire as a Navy Chief. He also received his Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Oklahoma State University. He worked diligently in the computer and software development and programming field and retired as a supervisor in federal service with the Air Force. Mr. Bullock was passionate about finding a cure for Parkinson's disease and participated in a 5 year(s) research study for the American Parkinson's Disease Association. He also worked tirelessly helping others in professional support groups for Parkinson's disease as well. His dedication to success also shined brightly through his love of playing Bridge, as he was awarded the Bronze Life Master Award in Duplicate Bridge. He was also a member of the Mensa Society and an avid golf player. Mr. Bullock was a loving husband and dedicated father to his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Bullock.
He is survived by his wife Gay Lynn Bullock; three sons, Darren Bullock, Christopher Bullock, and Andrew Hunt; one Stepson; Michael Donovan; and three Stepdaughters, Jamie Horning, Melissa McMartin, and Patricia Hustava; nine Step-Grandchildren; his mother Grace Gamble; one Brother, Robert (Bo) Gamble; and one Sister, Theresa Bevers
Honorary Pallbearers include; Darren Bullock, Christopher Bullock, Hutson Gamble, Matthew Horning and Brendan Hustava
