Riley Shane Hoffman, 11, gained his wings and took off running while surrounded by his family at his home on Saturday, August 13, 2016. His memorial service will be Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Countryside Baptist Church with Pastor Bo Blakey officiating. Pallbearers were Paul Fox, Reese Lane, Chris Hoffman, Brian Conaghan, T.J. Low and Jared Noles. Honorary Pallbearers were his big brother Kade Hoffman and best friend Kord Dotter. His final resting place is Merena Cemetery, Stillwater, OK.
Riley was born on August 11, 2005 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is predeceased by Shay Ross, Leland Ross and Wanda Spaulding Baker. He is survived by his parents Shane Hoffman, Stillwater and Stephenie and Curtis Tweedy, Morrison. His brother Kade Hoffman and his sister Emilie Hoffman, Morrison. Maternal grandparents Tommy and Linda Battles, Perry, OK. Paternal grandparents Chris and Brenda Hoffman, Stillwater, Terri Ross, Glencoe and Beverly Smith, Tyler, TX. Great grandparents, Brenda Ross, Glencoe, Dick and Jean Hoffman, Stillwater, Floyd and Ruby Flowers, Glencoe, Alice Smith, Morrison and Bob Ventris, Ripley. As well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.
Riley attended school in Glencoe and Morrison and competed in the Special Olympics having won 3 Gold medals in Power Chair races, 2 Gold medals in Bowling and 1 Bronze medal in Bowling. He enjoyed playing with his Paw Patrol toys and his IPAD and loved spending time with his brother and sister. He also loved working in the shop with his PaPa Tommy. Some of his favorite things to do were fishing, bowling, listening to music, swimming and performing magic tricks.
Riley was baptized last March alongside his big brother Kade and best friend Kord. He recently went on his Make a Wish trip to Walt Disney World where his dream of meeting all the Disney Princesses came true. Riley was an Honorary Police Officer with the Stillwater Police Department and Stillwater mayor, Gina Noble, declared April 4th "Riley Hoffman Day".
Riley has touched and inspired so many that words cannot describe or express how special he will always be to those who were blessed to have him in our lives.
