Robert Curtis's Story
Robert Curtis Reichman, 91, passed from this life on July, 28, 2016. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 9 a.m. with funeral services at 10 a.m. at Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Interment will follow with a graveside service at Fairlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Strode Funeral Home.
Robert was born on March 16, 1925 in Kremlin, Oklahoma to Clive and Eathel (Nickel) Reichman. He was united in marriage to Ann Hobbs ("Little Annie") on May 27, 1961.
During World War II he served his country in the Navy from July 1943 until March 6, 1946 as a Machinist's Mate Second Class. After serving in the Navy he went on to earn his Bachelor's of Science Geology degree with an Organic Chemistry minor from Oklahoma A&M in the mid-1950's. He was also an employee with the US Postal Service until the mid-1980's.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clive and Eathel (Nickel) Reichman; wife, Ann (Hobbs) Reichman; brother, Harry Reichman; sister, Mary Kay Wakefield; and his step-daughters, Elaine Herriage and Faye Hopkins.
His memories will live on through his step-daughter, Elizabeth Tarpey, step-son, Donald McCaslin; his grandchildren, David McCaslin (who was raised by Bob and Ann), Terri Tomlinson, Linda Lowell, Lisa Caughlin, Laura Crawford, Bruce Tarpey, and Stephen Tarpey. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Also survived by companion Georgia Mae Meberg and family.
