Robert Lee Henrickson, 97, he lead a very productive life that touched everyone he encountered. He went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. His Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Strode Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. .
After living a full life in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Bob moved to Florida last year to be with his daughter, Sondra Garvey and his son, Gary Henrickson. He loved being in Florida and quickly made many new friends. Bob continued his hobby of making jewelry boxes, cutting boards, and trays from exotic woods. His daughter, Cherlyn Sunflower still lives in Tulsa, OK.
Robert served in the United States Military for 20 years. He taught and did research at OSU for 40 years. While at OSU he was recognized for developing the Master's and Doctoral programs in food and meat science. He also was a scientific advisor for many businesses. During this time he established tow Kiwanis clubs and helped organize the OSU Emeriti Association for retired faculty.
His wife Alberta was at his side and supported Bob in all his activities.
Bob has two granddaughters, Kimberly Beasley and Krissy Belayev; six great grandchildren.
