Terry Brent Chapel, 70, of Stillwater, Oklahoma passed away on February 22, 2017 at his home in Stillwater. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Strode Funeral Home Chapel.
Brent was born on October 25, 1946 in Wichita, Kansas. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Oklahoma State University and a master's degree in accounting from the University of Georgia. While still an undergraduate at OSU, he taught computer science at the University of Georgia. He served in the United States Army ROTC during the Vietnam War. Brent was an avid runner, completing four marathons, a scuba diver, dog lover and an OSU sports fan. At the time of his death, he was CEO of Intellirf GPS and RFID Systems.
His parents, Mary Louise (Johnstone) and Raymond Chapel, former Stillwater residents, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Jayne Davis of Herndon, Virginia; daughters, Courtney O'Brien (Tim) of Dallas, TX; Brooke Fowler (Ryan) of Edmond, OK; his grandchildren, Whitney and Caroline O'Brien and William Fowler; and his brothers William J. Chapel of Stillwater and Robert W. Chapel (MaryAnn) of Dallas.
