Bonnie Lou Gladden, a longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 in Cushing with her family by her side at the age of 71. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 15, 2021 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, OK.

Bonnie was born on May 2, 1950 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to the late Bobby and Elnora (Seba) Burk. She grew up in Stillwater, graduating from C. E. Donart High School in 1968. Bonnie married the love of her life George Arthur Gladden on September 18, 1970 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. To this union, Tara, Contessa and Jeffery were born. After their son was born and no matter how old he was she would always remind his sisters that "he is just a little boy". They moved to rural Cushing to raise their family. She was a member of the Cross Brand Cowboy Church in Stillwater. Bonnie had worked for O.S.U. as an administrative assistant for over 10 years. Being with her family brought her much joy, cooking for them, and sewing many of their outfits while they were young. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the highlights of her life, she loved spoiling them all.

Survivors include her daughters Tara Gladden and Chris Field of Ripley, OK., Contessa Sorum of Salina, OK., Jeffery Gladden and wife Shawna of North Chesterfield, VA., siblings Connie Lee and husband Bobby of Newcastle, OK., Paul Burk and wife Libby of Brewster, NE., Judy McClure and husband Robert of Morrison, OK., Kelly Nyberg of Choctaw, OK., and James Burk and wife Misty of Stillwater, OK., grandchildren Amanda Roberts, Brandon Sorum, Gage Weaver, Garrison Gladden, Jaxon Gladden, great grandchildren Xzavier Roberts, Macc Weaver, Charlotte Sorum.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Gladden, brother Bill Burk.
