Catherine Lynn Day passed from this life on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at her home with family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home.

Catherine was born on April 27, 1948 to Ben and Marjorie (Macom) Butler in Eufaula, OK. She grew up and attended school at Eufaula graduating from Eufaula High School. After high school, Catherine attended junior college. She began work at Oklahoma State University in the painting division. She worked her way up to Paint Foreman and worked with OSU for 35 years. On May 1, 2002, Catherine married the love of her life, George Day in Eureka Springs.

Catherine was a fun-loving woman, who loved spending time with her family. She loved to craft, read, and working on her plants. Frequently, Catherine and her sisters would have a getaway, either for a day or weekend, traveling across Oklahoma to see sites.

Catherine was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Catherine is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Marjorie Butler; parents-in-law, Earlene and Billy Day; five brothers, Benny Butler, Donald Butler, Charles Butler, Bill Butler, and Baby Butler; four sisters, Margie Anderson, Joanie McVey, Carolyn Savory, Robin Miller.

Catherine is survived by her husband, George Day of the home; her son, P.J. Kyle and wife, Nikki of Cushing; three brothers, Rick Butler of Stillwater, Frankie Butler of Stillwater, Rusty Butler of Stillwater; three sisters, Missie Tuley and husband, Ron of Tryon, Belinda Fowler and husband, Marty of Lindsay, Becky Hale of Perkins. Catherine is also survived by numerous family and friends.
