David A. Spiva Sr., 67, passed peacefully from this life on April 28, 2018 at his home in Tulsa. He was born October 16, 1950 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to parents Paul and Albertha Ruth Spiva.

For over 32 years David worked for Airgas, managing the store in Stillwater for many years and then moving to Tulsa and working in sales. He created many lasting relationships through the years and had a reputation for being reliable and honest. His strong sense of responsibility wasnt only displayed at work. David was a dedicated family man and for years checked on his parents twice a day in their older age until their passing. He loved spending time with his son Aaron, camping and going on fishing trips as he was growing up. Later in life he was given the opportunity to be a good Poppy to two beautiful granddaughters that he adored. David loved to cut up and poke fun, especially razzing family members during a game of cards.

David is survived by his wife Deborah of the home; son, Aaron and wife Wendy Spiva; granddaughters, Alissa and Breanna Spiva; niece, Donna and husband Jay Doggett; nephews, Gary and wife Daun Spiva, Jeff and wife Heather Spiva; as well as many extended family members and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by is parents, Paul and Albertha Spiva; and one brother, Don Spiva.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Cushing, Oklahoma. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018 prior to the services at the church. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Cimarron Worship Center, 304 N. Main Street, Perkins, OK 74059. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
