Doris June Green, the oldest of three daughters, was born on June 2, 1929, to Charlie Dailey and Ruby (Sprouse) Dailey in rural Coal County near Tupelo, Oklahoma. She died on April 4, 2025, at the age of 95 in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Doris graduated from Saint Louis, Oklahoma High School in 1947 and earned a BS in Business Education and a minor in Home Economics from East Central University, Ada, Oklahoma in 1950.

Doris married Walt Green on September 2, 1948, and celebrated 69 years of marriage. They had three children, Mark, Kay and Julia.

She was a high school teacher in Coolidge, Kansas and also lived in Satanta and Liberal, Kansas. She moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1974 and after 25 years retired from The Lee Company.

Doris loved spending time with family, reading, corresponding with extended family and old friends, writing family stories to pass down, preparing holiday dinners and collecting recipes.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Walt Green, daughter Kay Ellen Green, beloved sisters and best friends Joy Brown and Patsy Freudenrich, brothers-in-law Robert Brown and Bill Freudenrich Sr. and nephew Harrell Freudenrich. She is survived by her children Mark (Wipa (Am)), daughter Julia Moomau (Steve), grandchildren Daniel Moomau (Katie) and Rebekah Moomau, great-grandchildren Rowan, Briar, Miley and Lochlan, nephews Darrell and Bill Freudenrich and their families, and stepsister Marcia Folsom. She is also survived by several cousins and her husband's Stillwater family Beverly and David Hollingsworth and Sonya and Steve Green.
