Elizabeth Gilmore Eidson
Elizabeth "Betty" Gilmore Eidson, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on November 21, 2019. She had previously resided in Tulsa, Stillwater, and Wellston, all in Oklahoma.
Betty was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 8, 1929 to Davida and Charles Gilmore. She graduated from Tulsa High School and the University of Tulsa.
She was married to Edsel F. Eidson until his death in 1995. After retiring as Assistant to former Oklahoma Governor David Hall, Betty and Edsel retired to their family home in Wellston, Oklahoma. Betty continued to work in Edmond at Central State University, in the Library. After Edsel's death, she moved to Stillwater and worked for the Oklahoma State University Library. She also taught ESL to foreign students at OSU, and especially enjoyed attending musical events at the University.
Betty was loved by everyone, and she loved everyone she met. She was always a uniquely happy, loving and gracious friend to so many students, to friends, and to family. She brought joy to every life she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers Robert B. Gilmore and J. David Gilmore. She is survived by nieces Judy Lepthien of Denver, Pat Gilmore of Dallas, and Libby Gilmore of Fort Worth, as well as her nephew Kirk Gilmore, of Palo Alto, California. She is also survived by cousins and by many friends.
A Memorial Service is planned for a later date. Please check legacy.com for updates.

Elizabeth was our wonderful neighbor before her move to Texas. She was such a kind peaceful woman and she always picked-up trash as she walked the neighborhood...I think of Elizabeth every time I find trash laying about (and I pick it up in her honor).
