Pawnee, Oklahoma - Joe Dale Alley was born on August 26, 1934 to Joseph David Alley and Winnie Ridley Alley in Rush Springs, OK. He passed from this life on June 16, 2018.


He attended various schools including Diamond Laird and graduated Pawnee High School. While in high school he enjoyed playing Football and Rodeoing.

He married Mary Lynne Wedd on October 29, 1954 He worked various jobs including in the oil field, Ranching for the Burkdolls, and being the yard man at Hughes Lumber in Cushing upon retiring in 1994.

He enjoyed roping and spending time in the arena, as long as he was on the back of the horse in the saddle. Always saying the falls are harder as he got older.

Joe Dale is preceded in death by is wife, Mary Alley; parent Joseph David and Winnie Ridley Alley; one brother, Albert Alley; one sister Verna Rae Heisler.

Surviving family members are children Jacki Stokes and Roger (Pete) Alley of Pawnee; 2 Granddaughters Jamie Stokes of Pawnee and Dondi Rowe and Husband Casey Rowe of Ponca City; 2 brothers Don Alley and wife JoAnn of Cushing, David (Red) Alley and wife Deloris of Pawnee, and 1 sister Claudi Ann McKill and husband Morris of Blackburn and many numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many any friends that were family.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 20. 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Pawnee. Burial will follow at the Masham Cemetery in Masham. Services were entrusted to the Poteet Funeral Home and Cremation Services .
