John Andrew Mueggenborg, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at his home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Graveside services were held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, Yale Lawson Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.

John was born August 3, 1951, to Ruth E. (Laughlin) and Anthony G. "Tony" Mueggenborg, the oldest of five children.

John attended Quay (OK) Public Schools, St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, graduating from Yale (OK) High School. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree, Agricultural Education, Oklahoma State University and began Master's studies at Kansas State University. He taught in Downs (KS) and Aline-Cleo (OK) Public Schools.

John was married to Linda K. Martin in 1969 and had two daughters. The marriage ended in divorce. In 1981, John married Crystal S. Turner. The marriage also ended in divorce.

John joined his brother, Lewis, in the farming and ranching business and also owned Black Cat Oil Company, Sod Laying Company, Stillwater Christmas Tree Lot and J & L Firework Stands across Oklahoma.

John loved to play poker, watch sports, horse races, casinos, and fish fries for friends. He raced pigeons and the Circle M Pigeon Loft was successful across Oklahoma and Texas. He shared his love of hunting and fishing with his grandchildren and loved taking them in his limousine to OKC Thunders games.

John is survived by two daughters, Christy (Jeff) Poe, Mannford, Tracy (Rob) Hill, Stillwater, two grandsons, Huston (Rachel) Poe, Yukon, Mason Poe, Mannford; three granddaughters, Lindsay Poe, Stillwater, Makinze Hill, Odessa, TX, and Olivia Poe, Mannford. Also survived by his brother, Darrell (Jennifer) Mueggenborg, sisters, Mildred (David) O'Steen, Sapulpa, and Virginia (Dale) Cussner, Yale. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Lewis V. Mueggenborg.
