Stillwater, Oklahoma - John T. Severe of Stillwater, Oklahoma, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 6, 2026. John was born in Perry, Oklahoma on November 17, 1951 to the late Otto and Irma Nida Severe. John graduated from Perry HS in 1970. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University in 1974 and was a Kappa Sigma fraternity member. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Oklahoma City University in 1978. John practiced Law for over 47 years.

In addition to his parents, John was proceeded in his death by his two brothers, Donald Severe and LeRoy Severe, sister Norma Severe Vanbiber, and brother-in-law Russell Vanbiber Jr.

John is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Karen McCracken Severe, daughter Melissa Severe Weber, son John (J.T.) Severe III, son-in-law Jeff Weber, daughter-in-law Alicia Severe, and grandchildren Andrew Weber, Abigail Weber, Ruby Severe, Maci Severe, and John (Johnny) Severe IV.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 13th at 10:00 AM at Sunnybrook Christian Church in Stillwater, OK. Burial will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry, OK. Visitation is on Friday, June 12th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, OK.
