Kevin Randall LeGrand Obituary

Glencoe, OK - Kevin Randall LeGrand, 67, passed away on April 8, 2026. He was born on January 4, 1959, in Enid, Oklahoma.

Kevin spent his childhood in the Brookside neighborhood. He attended Pioneer-Pleasant Vale schools, graduating in 1977. He excelled in football, basketball & baseball. The friendships he formed at Pioneer remained some of the most meaningful and lasting in his life.

Kevin married Kay Moore on June 8, 1985, in Enid, Oklahoma. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary in 2025.

He graduated from Oklahoma State University in December of 1989 with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Kevin dedicated 35 years of service to USDA Rural Development, where he took great pride in helping improve rural communities across Oklahoma.

Kevin was a devoted member of Zion Lutheran Church in Stillwater, where his faith was an important part of his life.

Kevin found his greatest joy in his family. Along with his wife Kay, he is survived by his children: Kyle and Tera LeGrand of Maize, Kansas; Hunter and Whitney Wolf of Stillwater, Oklahoma; and Reid and Kacie LeGrand of Edmond, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his mother Marilyn LeGrand; older brother Rick LeGrand and wife Brenda; younger brother Bryce LeGrand; Aunt Bonnie Osborne; brother-in-law Mark Moore and wife Dee; brother-in-law Phil Cooke; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was a proud grandfather to Denver, Rawley, Laney, Everett, Annie, and Reese, with one more grandchild on the way. He enjoyed family gatherings at home during the holidays. Nothing made him happier than having all of his children and grandchildren together under one roof.

Kevin cherished family vacations: road trips across the country, snow skiing during spring breaks, summer trips to Moore family reunions, and time spent in Red River, New Mexico. Kevin was also known for bringing home souvenirs from his travels—first for Kyle, Whitney, and Reid, and later for his grandchildren. These small tokens reflected his love for his family and the joy he found in sharing experiences with them.

Kevin loved music—especially bluegrass—and enjoyed sitting on his front porch or attending concerts listening to his favorite musicians and songs. One of his most recent experiences was seeing his favorite band, the Eagles, perform at the Sphere in Las Vegas with his family.

Kevin is preceded in death by his father Harold LeGrand, maternal grandparents Walter and Mildred Miesner, paternal grandparents Noah and Dora Burton, Uncle Lyle "Bud" and Marge Miesner, Uncle Jim Osborne, Uncle Earl Wayne and Pat Franke, parents-in-law Bob and Shirley Moore, and sister-in-law Marcia Cooke.

Kevin will be remembered for his strong and steady presence, his deep love for his family, and the countless memories he created with those he loved.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on April 14, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Douglas Union Cemetery in Douglas, Oklahoma. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of arrangements. Memorials in Kevin's name may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
