Perkins, OK - Larry Gordon, 61, of Perkins, OK, passed away on August 3, 2025, in Oklahoma City. A visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on August 11, 2025, at Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater, OK. A memorial service celebrating Larry's life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Central Rural Electric Community Center in Stillwater, OK, with Steven Grotheer officiating. Strode Funeral Home and Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.

Larry was born on May 26, 1964, in Spearman, Texas, to Billy Gordon and Sally Hoover. He worked at CREC as a Smart Grid Lineman. A lifelong outdoorsman and community member, Larry lived a life marked by hard work, family, and a deep love for the land and animals. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, roping, training horses, and working with bird dogs.

He was a proud member of the Perkins Round-Up Club and served as a dedicated football coach for Perkins-Tryon Bandit Football for four years, where he had also graduated from in 1982.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Sally.

He is survived by his loving wife, Robin Gordon, whom he married on September 25, 2021; Sons Michael Gordon and his wife Whitney, Josh Gordon, and stepson Shane McLain; Grandchildren Cooper Gordon and Ethan Asbell; Brothers, Billy Gordon and wife Sharon, Randy Gordon and wife Trish, and Bob Gordon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Oakes, Donnie Luster, Jeff Denton, Kevin Bevins, Newt McCutchen, Shane McLain, and Gary Hoover and Yuvaraj Kondaswamy.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the CREC family; Travis and Randa Oakes; Donnie Luster; Steven Grotheer; Joe and Peggy Ray; and Nurse Matt Miner, RN for his exceptional care and support during this time.

Larry's legacy of grit, generosity, and unwavering loyalty will live on in all who knew and loved him.
