Stillwater, OK - Lynne Carol Wilsey, 76, of Stillwater, Oklahoma died January 17th in her home. Services will be Friday, January 31 in the First United Methodist Church in Stillwater. A reception will be held in the social hall in the basement of the church at 12:30 with service in the sanctuary at 2:00. Interment at Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery will follow the services.

Lynne was born in Lubbock, Texas July 10, 1948 to Lawrence Earl and Loraine Glynn Wilsey. She attended Oklahoma State University and attained a BS degree in accounting in 1970. Lynne worked as a CPA in California following graduation, working for Charles Schwab and later for Seimans. In California Lynne volunteered for suicide prevention frequently working the late night or holiday shifts.

Lynne relocated to Stillwater, OK in 2013. She sang with the Stillwater Community Singers for several years and briefly volunteered with the Stillwater Literacy Council teaching English as a second language to new Stillwater immigrants. Lynne loved her cats and considered them her first family. Lynne previously volunteered with Tiny Paws cat rescue in Stillwater.

Lynne is preceded in death by her brother Larry Wilsey, Jr. Other family members include her two brothers, Douglas Wilsey and Pat Wilsey, sisters-in-law Janice Wilsey and Carla Wilsey, nieces Jamie Grupp, Jackie Wilsey, Leslie Hill, Leah Blagg, and nephews Craig Wilsey, David Wilsey, and Clay Wilsey.
