Perkins, OK - Nancy Lou (Rhoads) Murray

Nancy went to be with our Lord and Savior November 16th, 2024.

Nancy lived a life filled of love and adventure. Born to Edwin & Daisy Rhoads May 9th, 1937, at their home in McGregor, TX.

Nancy met her husband Richard Murray in chemistry class while attending SMU. They wed on August 3rd, 1957. They spent many years traveling and moving around before settling in Perkins, OK. This would be the place they would call home to raise their family and enjoy the next decades having their grandchildren come to visit.

Nancy received a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology from Oklahoma State University.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Richard, and sister, Brenda. She is survived by her sons Justin Murray and George (Diane) Murray, grandchildren Brian (Amy) Murray, Stephen (Katy) Murray, Dillon Murray, Morgan (Patrick) Currier, Ross (Emily) Murray, Anna Murray, and Jonny (Roger) Carroll, great-grandchildren, Poppy, Benjamin, Nora, Maren, and Remington Murray, Noelle, Jude and Knox Carroll and siblings Peggy, Randy, Carol.

Nancy was a creative and giving soul. She spent countless hours sitting at her grand piano or knitting afghans for friends and family. She never knew a stranger and opened her home to anyone passing by... if you stopped by for coffee, she'd insist you stay for dinner.

Nancy was a light in this world & she will be greatly missed.
