Ruth Ann Flowers
Ruth Ann Flowers went to be with our Lord and Savior in heaven January 17, 2020. Services will be held at Solid Rock Church at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery. Family will receive visitors Friday, January 24 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home.

Ruth Ann was born August 4, 1936 to Ernest and Ina Mae (Monroe) Human in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She joined older brother, Russell Human and was later joined by little brother, Wayne Human. Ruth Ann's family soon moved to Stillwater to start the family dairy farm. She graduated from C.E. Donart High School in Stillwater in 1955. After high school she attend Southern Nazarene University in Bethany before returning home and earning her cosmetology license. She went to work at different places such as Bell Telephone, the bursar's office at OSU, and the veterinary parasitology laboratory where she prepared materials for students' labs. On March 2, 1957, she married Dale Flowers and they adopted their daughter, Dana, in 1968. Over the years, she made many good friends in the different places she worked and at church. She attended church at Hillcrest Baptist Church and later became a member of the Solid Rock Church of Stillwater.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest (1992) and Ina Mae (1994) and her husband, Dale (2010).

She is survived by her daughter, Dana Brown and husband Mike of Stillwater; grandchildren, Matt Brown of Sand Springs, Kyle Brown of Oklahoma City, Kelsey Bigheart of Stillwater; and one great grandson, Alexander (AJ) Bigheart (3) of Stillwater. She is also survived by brothers, Russell (and Ruth) of Tulsa, and Wayne (and Pam) of Stillwater along with two nieces and many more extended family members.

Ruth Ann was a faithful servant and a great prayer warrior. Her strong Christian faith served as an example for many.

The family would especially like to say thank you to Red Bud Assisted Living Center in Perkins for caring for Mom her last years and to Physician's Choice Hospice for making the end as peaceful and comfortable as possible. The love you all showed to her will not be forgotten. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions can be made to Physician's Choice Hospice or Solid Rock Church.
