Stillwater, OK - Stillwater resident Sarah Juanita Kearns-Shook, 20, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025 at her home.

Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Strode Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Stillwater Public Schools Special Education Department, 314 S. Lewis St., Stillwater, OK 74074 Attn Sarah Kearns-Shook SPED Memorial Donation.

Sarah was born April 11, 2004 (which was Christian Orthodox and Protestant Easter) to Richard Calvin Shook and Jeanita May Kearns. She graduated from Stillwater High School and was part of their Transitions Program after graduating. Sarah had lived in Stillwater, Glencoe, and Scotchtown, NY and had been to many eastern states and Michigan. She loved her wiffle balls (created by Papa Kearns) music, dancing, pretty long hair, and school.

She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Clifford Shook; uncle, David Hover; aunt, Jennifer Benson Lazenby; great-aunt, Jeanita Mae Hover; and great-grandma, Juanita Yandell.

Survivors include her mother, Jeanita May Kearns; father, Richard Calvin Shook; bonus mom, Lisa Shook; brothers, Alexander James, Theo, George and sister, Lily; uncle, John Lazenby Jr and his family; aunt Rowena Lazenby Crockett and her family; aunt Rhonda Lazenby Jim and husband Tim and their family; great uncle (Butch) Theodore Lyle Hover Jr and his family, the Kearns family; the Harris family; the Spiva family; and the Shook family. Maternal grandparents Gary and Juanita Kearns, Paternal grandma Marie Shook. Aunt Shelly Butler and a husband Mike and family; Aunt Tammy Holt and husband Sean and family; Uncle Clifford Duane Shook and wife Tiffney and family; Uncle Mike Shook and family; Uncle Jeff Shook and family.
