Tonya Thompson Obituary
Tonya Thompson, 44, passed from this life on April 23, 2018 at her home in Yale, Oklahoma. She was born on July 23, 1973 in Phoenix, Arizona to parents Raymond and Diane. She grew up in Yale, Oklahoma until her sophomore year of High School when their family moved to Plains, Kansas where she graduated from Southwest Heights High School.
God surely knew what he was doing when he brought J.R. and Tonya together. Their souls were united in marriage on February 14, 2003 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and that bond was never broken. They completed one another, and their love defined the very word.
Tonya went over the top with anything she touched or was a part of. Those who knew her knew she would probably be late, but she would show up and show up loud! She was a woman of great passion, from her family to her animals she loved without holding back. Tonya only knew how to go big and especially so for Christmas. Her home was always filled with fun new decorations and never was there a shortage of holiday cheer. She had a great talent for hair styling and interior design, both of which allowed her to express her creative spirit. Tonya gave countless hours volunteering at church, helping with cheerleading, and just being there for her family. She was firmly grounded in her faith and her love for the Lord was unwavering.
She is survived by her Husband and Soulmate, J.R. Thompson; Mother, Diane James; Children, Scott and wife Miranda Lytle, Jordan Saucedo and Marissa Stahl, Jayden Williams, Tyler Weldon, Stevie Dennis, and Devin Dennis; Grandchildren, Payton, Ava, Ryder, and Stella; Step-Mother, Wilma Dennis; Father in law, Arthur Peno Thompson; Siblings, John and wife Cindy James, Desiree and husband James Callaway, Chad and wife Rena Heilmann; Brother in law, Jeff Thompson; Sister in law, Jennifer and husband Derrick McRay; Aunts, Becka and husband Ned Redding, Brenda Gibson, Debbie and husband Bob Brown, Margaret and husband George Buckner, and a host of extended family, and friends.
